Country music icon Vince Gill joined the legendary Eagles for a sensational performance since the death of their member and founder Glenn Frey. Blending their contrasting genres, the country star and classic rock figures met at Classic West at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to pay their respects to Frey and reminisce on his talent and spirit through their timeless classics.
Reuniting before a lively crowd, the bandmates and Gill performed a series of hits that had their fans reeling with excitement. It was a surreal experience as the country star, original bandmates Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmidt, Joe Walsh, and Frey's son Deacon took to the stage to share a once-in-a-lifetime experience that brought back undeniable nostalgia and memories.
Performing their classic jam "The New Kid In Town", Gill was a natural with his fellow icons as he sang, "You look in her eyes; the music begins to play./ Hopeless romantics, here we go again./ But after a while you're looking the other way./ It's those restless hearts that never mend./ Johnny come lately, the new kid in town./ Will she still love you when you're not around?"
Frey passed away in January of 2016 after complications from rheumatoid arthritis. The founder's death hit the music world to heartbreaking extents, still grieving the loss of the icon while basking in his timeless talent through his music. You can listen to the incredible tribute below.
