‘Voice’ Exec Reveals His True Thoughts On Blake & Gwen

He opened up in a recent interview and explained what their flirting and romance did to the show and the cast. 

It’s been a year since Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani first appeared on the 9th season of NBC’s hit show, The Voice, and the world has witnessed their relationship blossom into a true romance ever since. 

During that season, Gwen took on the role of Coach with Blake bringing her back on the next season as his mentor to “Team Blake”. Needless to say, Blake and Gwen have spent a considerable amount of time on the set of The Voice. 

Speaking up about their cheerful and giggly romance, producer Mark Burnett opened up backstage at the Emmy Awards. 

In the interview, Burnett explained how their romance had affected the show’s cast – himself included.

“They had no idea by coming to work on a fun music show, they would find the loves of their life,” he says to Fox News, adding that they had previously endured some hard times. 

“[They] both have had some dark times emotionally in their relationships,” Burnett continued. “People go through peaks and valleys, lights and dark times in their lives….They are happier than you can imagine…”

While Blake and Gwen may have endured some rough patches with their marriages dissolving last year, the affect their budding love had on the cast and crew was overwhelming. 

Burnett says that the affect was incredibly positive, confessing that they could “see the happiness” between Blake and Gwen – and who doesn’t like to work with happy people?
