The weekend of the Inauguration on January 20th was historic in more ways than one. The nation's 45th President was sworn in and one day later, the biggest one-day protest in United States history took place.
According to the Women's March on Washington website, women, men, and children all over the country took the streets of D.C., Los Angeles, New York, and other cities to "send a bold message to our new government on their first day in office, and to the world that women's rights are human rights."
Duck Dynasty star and longtime Donald Trump supporter Willie Robertson was in D.C. for the Inauguration and several events and ran into the march when he was trying to go to dinner with his wife. He saw the march first hand and appeared on Fox news to talk about it.
"There were a lot of pink hats out there, for sure, and it wasn't my kind of crowd. I was blown away by really the vulgar signs and the language," he said after watching Madonna's "Blow Up The White House" clip. "There were children there. I saw children sitting by these signs. Young kids with all this filth on there. I understand the anger, what I can't understand, you know, when the Republicans got angry, what we did was throw a lot of our guys out and say 'We want somebody who can be elected President'. So I don't understand why they're not angry at their own party...Fix some things, go meet together, and I just didn't understand. It's embarrassing"
He is by no means calling President Trump perfect, but he and the rest of the Republican party were fed up with their candidates, so they found one who would actually do something, and Willie is pretty pleased so far with what Trump has accomplished in his first week in office.
