Country music legend Johnny Cash wasn't always sporting his rough around the edges look, as we were once graced by a baby faced singer in a throwback video that is a pure blast from the past!
While the footage is captured in the classic black and white filter, Cash is seen wearing a light colored button up and a clean haircut as he strums his guitar while singing perhaps one of his biggest hits, "I Walk The Line".
The live performance was featured on The Tex Ritter Show, showcasing the then 23 year old's sensational talent and pure vocals! "I Walk The Line" became Cash's first no. 1 song on the Billboard charts, selling over 2 million copies and remaining on the charts for a solid 43 weeks! The sing was recognized in "The 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll" exhibit in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame due to itts musical impacts and striking success.
The name was later used for the riveting movie that encompassed Cash's early life, personal struggles, and rise to unfathomable fame. Reenacted by actor Joaquin Phoenix, the film has continued to reign as one of the most inspiring and informational movies involving the true story of a prominent icon.
We love seeing these remarkable performers at such juvenile stages in both their lives and careers! Check out Cash's youthful performance below!
