Brandon Lake Has Been Nominated For His First CMA Award

Christian artist Brandon Lake is overjoyed after receiving his first-ever CMA nomination, and with good reason!

Lake took to social media to share his heartfelt reaction to being nominated for Musical Event of the Year for his powerful song “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” The nomination marks a major milestone in his career, and he is clearly excited.

The singer, holding his guitar, cheered as he read the announcement in front of him.

“We got a nomination!” Lake exclaimed.

Lake sings the song with superstar Jelly Roll, and the two have become seemingly close friends throughout the process.

“YALL!!! 🤯🤯🤯 What the heck?!! What an honor! So thankful to @jellyroll615 for carrying this song with me. Thank you @cma for recognizing what’s happening with this song and collaboration. And to God be all the glory!”

“Hard Fought Hallelujah” Makes Worldwide Impact

It is undeniable that God’s hand has been all over the hit, and over the summer, Jelly made headlines after a double rainbow appeared during his performance in front of a packed Philadelphia crowd.

“You can’t tell me God ain’t here,” the singer said while raising his arms to the stunning rainbow.

The video gave a breathtaking view of the sky and Jelly later posted the footage to his own Instagram, saying that “God is good.”

Lake originally released “Hard Fought Hallelujah” as a single in November 2024, but later united with Jelly Roll to release a new remix of the song.

The lyrics talk about overcoming life’s challenges and viewing trials and tribulations as a stepping stone to becoming a stronger person:

“‘Cause God, You’ve been patient,
God, You’ve been gracious,
Faithful, whatever I’m feeling or facing.
So I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt, it-is-well hallelujah.”

The two have performed the song on a number of incredible stages, including The Grand Ole Opry and during a live American Idol show.
