On July 24, Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Died At The Age of 71

News of the WWE legend’s passing broke after emergency responders were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida, following a reported cardiac arrest.

His family confirmed his death a few hours later in a statement shared on Hulk’s social media.

“May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten.”

A week later, Hulk’s official cause of death was released. He died of an acute myocardial infarction, more commonly known as a heart attack.

Medical records also showed that he had a history of Leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that attacks the white blood cells. His battle with cancer was not public knowledge before his death.

Hulk was laid to rest during a private funeral held in his hometown on August 5.

He is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and his two children, Nick and Brooke, from his previous marriage to Linda Hogan.

Brooke did not attend her father’s funeral, but she later shared a beach photo with her children in his memory.

She also posted a lengthy statement addressing speculation about her relationship with Hulk and cleared up rumors about why she chose to step away from her family.

“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together.”

Now, the 37-year-old is releasing a brand-new song inspired by him.

A first listen of Brooke’s song was shared on Thursday, December 18, by Florida-based morning show Bubba the Love Sponge.

Titled “Wanna Go Back,” the track’s lyrics touch on the rocky relationship she and Hulk had. As the song plays, multiple photos and videos of Brooke and Hulk together over the years are shown. The song’s lyrics go:

“I don’t wanna go back/ Cuz what you did to me/ Daddy you layin’ there/ Made a fool outta me / I don’t wanna go back / Cuz you were my world / And I was your girl / But that meant nothing”

Brooke’s song was well-received right away, with many people leaving supportive comments on the premiere video. A few included:

“Beautiful song and I understand your pain and feeling your love for your Dad too! You deserve kindness”

“Great song and for anyone who’s lost a parent or loved one the lyrics hit a bit differently.”

“You have no idea how much I needed these words today. I don’t wanna go back either Brookie !! This is so beautiful and personal.”

As of now, Brooke Hogan’s new song isn’t officially out yet. A release date hasn’t been announced, either.
