Bunnie Xo’s Memoir Is Being Turned Into A Film
Stories from Bunnie Xo’s life are about to hit the big screen.
On February 17, Bunnie Xo, the wife of country star Jelly Roll, released her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.
If you haven’t already read it, the best-selling book gives a never-before-seen look into Bunnie’s (real name Alisa DeFord) life.
The collection of personal moments doesn’t hold back, with the 46-year-old sharing experiences she’s never discussed in depth publicly. Just a few of those topics include her challenging years as a high-end escort in Las Vegas and her journey to getting sober.
She even opens up about her relationship with Jelly Roll, covering everything from their separation years ago, caused by his infidelity, to where they are now, including their hopes to welcome twins through a surrogate.
The honesty in Bunnie’s memoir has absolutely blown fans away, and soon, it’s all going to come to life!
In an announcement first shared by Variety, her book is set to be adapted into a movie.
The outlet reports that 101 Studios, known for producing hit shows such as Yellowstone and Landman, has acquired the rights to Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.
“Writing this book was one of the most vulnerable things I’ve ever done. I told my story the only way I knew how: raw, real and unapologetic,” Bunnie said in a statement.
She continued, “Seeing it now move from the pages to the big screen is something I never could have imagined. I can’t wait for audiences to experience the chaos, the heartbreak, the humor and the redemption in a way that only film can capture. If this film does anything, I hope it reminds people that your past nor your trauma can ever define you, your comeback does. It’s never too late.”
As of right now, no further details about the upcoming film have been confirmed. One thing we do know, however, is who Bunnie would love to see play her.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Dumb Blonde podcaster revealed her dream actor to portray her… and odds are you’d never guess who it is.
“Have you thought about who you want to play you in this film?” Jimmy asked. To which Bunnie hilariously responded, “Jack Black.”
We’re not too sure how that would play out, given the undeniable lack of resemblance… but it would definitely be interesting to say the least!
