Country star Chris Young is out on the road spreading Christmas cheer on his It Must Be Christmas Tour. But during one of his recent stops, things didn’t go as planned when unexpected winter weather got in the way.

Young had a show scheduled for November 29 at the Crystal Grand Music Theatre in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Unfortunately, though, the area’s first major winter storm rolled in the same night.

According to local news outlets, the region saw anywhere from three to more than seven inches of snow. Icy roads also made travel very dangerous.

Even with the severe weather, Young still made it to the venue and chose to go on with the show for the fans who were able to make it.

Of course, many people didn’t feel safe driving in those conditions and decided to stay home, which meant missing the concert they had tickets for.

Chris Young Refunds Entire Show

Young knew how disappointing the situation was for the fans who couldn’t make it, and he wanted to make things right since the weather left them with no choice.

After the show, the “I’m Comin’ Over” singer shared a statement letting everyone know they would receive a refund for the concert.

Whether they were able to attend or not, Young promised their money back.

On his social media, he shared a note that read:

“Thank you to the folks that braved the storm and made it out to the Wisconsin show. I waived my fee for this show so all tickets can be refunded. I have instructed the venue to refund tickets to the point of purchase, whether you were there or not. Your safety is of the utmost importance and is never taken for granted. Sending love to your families and I hope you have a safe and happy holiday.”

Young’s thoughtfulness really made a lot of fans happy. Many people left comments thanking him for the gesture and praising him for giving up the money he would have made if he hadn’t chosen to refund everyone.

“Thank you for caring about the safety of your fans,” one person wrote.

“You are the best Chris!! The refund will be used to attend a show of yours next year. Be safe & enjoy the rest of the tour!” a fan said.

“Now this is what I call a true blue, caring music artist,” wrote another.

Chris Young still has 10 shows left on his Christmas tour. His final one will be set for December 20 in Wallington, Connecticut.

Hopefully, he and his fans won’t have to deal with any more rough winter weather along the way!
