Randall King Takes A Step Back From Music As He Focuses On His Own Well-Being
Country singer Randall King has canceled several upcoming tour dates as he steps away from the stage to focus on his personal well-being, telling fans he is seeking professional help.
In a statement shared this week, King, who recently dropped his latest single “Thinkin’ ‘Bout Drinkin’,” said he has taken “a hard look” at his life and recognized the need for meaningful change. King acknowledged that ongoing struggles have impacted both himself and those closest to him.
“My faith comes first and right now I don’t feel right stepping on stage without the confidence that I’m living as the man God has called me to be,” King explained on social media.
The Texas-born artist confirmed that multiple appearances will no longer take place, including festival performances and scheduled tour stops across several states. Additional shows have been postponed, though no new dates have been announced.
“I believe God gave me the gift of music to impact lives and do His will and He will guide me on the path to healing. But I have to let go, surrender, face the problems, and accept the help of people who better understand what I’m going through,” he continued.
King, known for his traditional honky-tonk sound and growing presence in country music, said stepping away was not an easy decision. Touring has been a central part of his life for years, but he emphasized that prioritizing his health is necessary before returning to the stage.
While no timeline has been set for his return, King expressed hope that he will come back “more focused and grateful than ever.”
