Dylan Marlowe Was Removed From His Own Show
Dylan Marlowe is giving his side of the story after being removed from a show, just moments after leaving the stage.
Marlowe was part of the lineup at Country Jam in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, over the weekend.
The 28-year-old had performed earlier in the day and decided to stick around to watch his friend Jake Owen’s set. But while he was standing in the crowd, security came up to him and ended up escorting him out.
Following the incident, Marlowe posted a video on social media showing security leading him out of the crowd. The video has since been deleted from all of the singers’ platforms.
“Getting kicked out of a concert I just played,” he captioned the now-deleted video, per Parade.
“Got kicked out of our concert trying to watch Jake Owen. Good job, dude. I’m a huge threat.”

According to those who saw the video before it was taken down, security was holding onto Marlowe’s shirt as they led him out. At one point, Jake Owen could be heard yelling over the mic, “That’s Dylan Marlowe!”
The “Boys Back Home” Singer Addresses The Situation
On Sunday, July 20, Dylan Marlowe shared another video explaining more about what happened.
He said he chose to delete the original post out of respect for the festival and venue, clarifying that they weren’t responsible for the situation.
“I just want to hop on here and kinda clear the air a little bit of what I posted yesterday,” he began. “I took the video down after sleeping on it and watching church this morning. I just decided that it wasn’t fair for that festival to have this video blowing up about their festival when it was really just one bad apple in the whole thing.”
He went on to explain that both he and his friend Dave had “All Access” and “Artist Credentials” passes and were watching Owen’s set from the top of the front-of-house tower. But shortly after they got there, security approached them.
“This dude comes up and says we can’t be there,” Marlowe said. “We were like, ‘Hey. We have All Access wristbands given to our tour manager for us to wear to be anywhere we want to be… That’s what we were told…So we had two different credentials. We’re like, ‘Hey. We have these. We’re good.’ He was like, ‘No. I don’t care. So and so said you can’t be up here.”
Apparently, the security guard suggested that Marlowe and his friend go watch the show from the pit. But since he had just performed, he knew being in the middle of the general crowd could cause a scene. He didn’t want to draw attention to himself while Owen was on stage.
“The last thing I want to do is make a scene during Jake Owen’s set because that, to me, is disrespectful,” he said.
After that first interaction, Marlowe says he and his friend moved to a different, lower spot to avoid any issues. But they were told by the same security guard that they needed to leave from there too.
“We walk downstairs to where this guy continues to say, ‘Hey, you gotta get the F out of here. You gotta get the F outta here. You’re not allowed to be down here either,” he said. “We had these passes, and we knew we were allowed to be there.”
Marlowe shared that police officers then came over and removed them from the show at the request of the security staff.
“These cops came up and I was like, ‘Oh God.’ So we talk to these cops and we’re like, ‘Hey guys. We had these passes. Not sure what the confusion is because we were told these are ‘All Access’ passes. We’re just trying to watch the set,’ to where the cops responded, ‘This security is our boss and he’s telling us to get ya’ll out of here.’
He admitted that in the heat of the moment, a few not-so-nice words with the officers were exchanged. This is why they grabbed his shirt while taking him out.
“I’m not going to paint it like I was this perfectly great dude who wasn’t rude back to him after he was rude to me. After that, there were definitely a few heated words exchanged with that guy, nothing crazy, but I feel like he was rude to me and I was rude back to him, and I shouldn’t have been… so I just wanted to clear things up.”
Marlowe ended the video by saying he wasn’t looking for special treatment. He felt it was about the principle of it all, since they had the proper passes to be where they were.
“I don’t think it was from a pride or ego standpoint. I don’t expect this dude or anybody to ever know who I am…I’m just a person who does this for a living. I think what was frustrating to me is that we had the ‘All Access’ credentials on and still got kicked out. But I took the video down. I’ll probably leave it down.”
