Dolly Parton Announces Las Vegas Residency In June

On June 23, Dolly Parton announced that she was heading to Las Vegas for a special six-show residency this upcoming December.

The limited run of performances were set to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Seeing Dolly live is already a rare treat, but the fact that she was planning to perform a series of back-to-back shows in Las Vegas for the first time in over three decades made it historic. Vegas has such a unique energy, and paired with Dolly’s charisma and iconic presence it was bound to create an unforgettable experience.

Tickets for all six shows went on sale through Ticketmaster on June 25 at 10 AM Pacific Time.

Not long after tickets went on sale, Ticketmaster officially announced that all six shows had sold out in less than an hour and a half. Caesars Palace then confirmed the news shortly after with a post on their social media.

Dolly Cancels Her Las Vegas Residency

On Sunday (September 28), Dolly announced that she has been forced to postpone the upcoming shows due to unforeseen “health challenges.”

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my hundred thousand mile checkup, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” Dolly told fans on social media.

The country music icon explained that she wanted to put on her best show for fans, and would not be able to give them the experience they hoped for at this time.

“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she continued.

Dolly assured fans that she was not going anywhere, but the 79-year-old does feel God is calling her to “slow down” from her incredibly busy schedule.

“I love you and thank you for understanding.”

Fans took to Dolly’s post to send the singer their well wishes, reminding her to get the rest she needs.

“We love you Dolly!!! Rest up and feel good!!! Sending love and prayers!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” one user wrote.

“Be close with your family this Christmas ❤️ you’ll be in all of our hearts endlessly ❤️ we wish you the best 🫂,” another said.

We are sending Dolly our heartfelt thoughts and prayers and wishing her a speedy recovery.
