Catherine Bach Hospitalized In Los Angeles

Actress Catherine Bach, best known for her role as Daisy Duke on the classic television series The Dukes of Hazzard, has reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles.

According to a social media post from Ben Jones, who portrayed “Cooter” on the show, and his wife Alma, Bach was admitted into the hospital on an emergency basis after developing an embolism that “developed as a result of a recent surgery.”

“Breaking news! Our dear Catherine Bach has just been admitted to the hospital in Los Angeles on an emergency basis. Catherine has an embolism that probably developed as a result of a recent surgery. We will keep you posted, and Catherine will share her story as soon as she is recovered. She is so, so sorry to have to cancel her appearance at Cooter’s this weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Love, Ben and Miss Alma,” the statement, that has now been deleted, read from Jones and his wife.

Cooter’s Place in Nashville confirmed the 71-year-old’s appearance has been canceled due to her health.

Who Is Catherine Bach?

In addition to The Dukes of Hazzard, Bach also played Margo Dutton in the TV series African Skies. In 2012, she joined the cast of the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, playing Anita Lawson.

Bach was also known for her iconic, short denim shorts which became known as “Daisy Dukes” and heavily influenced fashion.
