Faith Hill Shares Her Mom’s “Secret” Thanksgiving Recipe: Cornbread Dressing

Years ago (2006 to be exact), Faith & Tim appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and showed everyone how to cook Tim’s classic chicken ‘n dumplings (the meal he says won Faith’s heart over) along with Faith’s family recipe for cornbread dressing.

Dressing vs. Stuffing

Dressing is a flavorful side dish synonymous with comfort, embodies the essence of holiday gatherings. Made from seasoned breadcrumbs, herbs, and often enhanced with onions, celery, and broth, this savory dish is a staple on Thanksgiving tables. Its versatility allows for various regional interpretations, from Southern cornbread dressing to Northern stuffing. Whether baked within a turkey or prepared separately, dressing offers a warm, aromatic addition, complementing roasted meats or standing alone as a satisfying comfort food. Its timeless appeal lies in its ability to evoke nostalgia and create a sense of culinary tradition, making it a beloved dish year after year.

Stuffing is similar, except that it is usually cooked inside the turkey on Thanksgiving!

In 2015, Faith took the liberty of posting her sacred recipe for cornbread dressing on her Facebook page so that fans could get a taste of what she serves her family on Thanksgiving!

Edna’s Cornbread Dressing is her mom’s secret recipe and it looks absolutely delicious!
