Nobody knows high-profile relationships quite like Blake Shelton and he’s no stranger to headlines. In a 2018 interview with TODAY Show’s Willie Geist, Blake opened up about his relationship with Gwen Stefani and why he think’s it’s a “tabloid’s dream.”

In 2003, a mullet-rocking Blake took a break from being on tour with Toby Keith to wed his high school sweetheart, Kaynette Williams. The two divorced one year after he met fellow country newcomer Miranda Lambert when they sang a duet of “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” for a CMT special in 2005.

Shelton and Lambert wed in 2011 and instantly became one of country music’s most adored couples. But, their marriage only survived for four years as the pair divorced in 2015. At the time of the split, both were at the pinnacle of their music careers, and the media were watching their every move and hanging on every word hoping for clues as to what caused the split. But, with the exception of some not-so-subtle song lyrics, both parties have stayed quiet about the cause of their divorce.

Several months after the highly publicized split, Shelton revealed that he was dating then-fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani, who was also going through a split from her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale. Blake and Gwen have been together ever since and appear to be happier than ever.

“I’m at a point in my life where time is as valuable as anything,” Shelton told the TODAY Show on Sunday morning. “And having it with my family and with Gwen and her kids, what’s important to you at this age, it starts to change, you know?”

Geist asked if Blake had any reservations about leaving one high profile relationship for another. 42-year-old Shelton admitted that he and Gwen both had concerns, but worked through them.

“It’s a tabloid’s dream to have (my and Gwen’s) worlds collide, and the situation that they collided in,” Shelton said. “But at the end of the day, all you gotta do is ignore it. And it’s not even there.”

When asked if he would get married again, Blake didn’t hesitate. “Of course I would. Look, you gotta keep taking a stab at life. You know? And I don’t know if I will, but of course I would (get married again). I’m not afraid. Bring it on.”

Only time will tell if Blake and Gwen take the marital leap, but all signs point to many more years of Gwen and Blake!
