Hank Williams Jr. Is Forced To Cancel Shows Over Undisclosed Illness

Just a few days before Hank Williams Jr. was expected to take the stage this weekend in Oklahoma his team released a statement on his social media confirming that he is currently battling illness.

“We’re so sorry to share that due to illness, Hank Williams Jr. will be unable to perform the shows scheduled for this weekend in Tulsa and Thackerville, OK,” the statement read. “These dates will be rescheduled for later next month, and all tickets will be honored for new dates.”

Williams Jr. has just one more show outside of Oklahoma, and is expected to perform at the Minnesota State Fair on August 27.

Fans took to the post to send their well wishes to the 76-year-old.

“Take care of Hank first. World just wouldn’t be right without him,” one user said.

“Get well soon. Been a fan since the early 80s back when you used to come to Jackson, TN and bring an upcoming artist with you – saw Alan Jackson and Toby Keith and Travis Tritt and others – even Waylon and our own Carl Perkins. You gave me such wonderful memories,” another commented.
