Jamey Johnson And His Wife, Brittney, Launch Nonprofit
Named the “Give It Away Fund,” its mission is to provide help for those in need by supporting well-managed charities, according to their official website.
The nonprofit was named after George Strait’s 2006 number one hit, which Johnson co-wrote with Bill Anderson and Buddy Cannon.

“We love helping people in need,” Johnson said in a press release, per Music Row. “This will allow us to direct money to certain places where there is considerable need.”
Brittney added, “Volunteer work has always been an important part of my life. One of the things I admired most about Jamey when we first met was his massive and generous heart. We share a love for helping people, and I think that has been an important part of our relationship from the beginning.”
Not only will Johnson be accepting public donations for the fund, but he is also contributing $1 from every concert ticket sold. Additionally, all proceeds from a special T-shirt sold at his shows and online will go directly to the cause.
The “Give It Away Fund” supports a diverse range of causes, including disaster relief, hunger relief, global impact initiatives, cancer research, military support, and more.

Jamey & Brittney’s Love Story
Jamey Johnson and Brittney Eakins first met in 2019 at the inauguration of Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves.
The “In Color” singer was invited as a guest of Reeves, while Brittany attended as a law clerk for Justice David Ishee at the state Supreme Court.
The couple dated for a few years before Jamey proposed in 2023. This past May, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee.
Their wedding had a star-studded guest list that included Randy Travis, Lukas Nelson, Ella Langley, Kid Rock, and more. Country singers Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice also stood by Jamey’s side as groomsmen.
For their first dance, fellow country star and close friend ERNEST performed Chris LeDoux’s “Look at You Girl.”
