Jelly Roll was hoping to add The Voice to his list of accomplishments in 2023.

The 39-year-old has just about done it all this year! He started out the year sweeping the CMT Music Awards, and received more trophies than any other male artist, beating out Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs; he performed live on ‘The Tonight Show’ starring Jimmy Fallon; he performed “The Wild Ones” with Jessie Murph on Jimmy Kimmel Live; he dominated the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards walking away with four awards; he was the most-nominated male artist at the 2023 CMA awards, won CMA New Artist of the Year, and joined Wynonna for a duet of his hit song, “Need A Favor,” for the CMA awards show.

While he was hoping to add a performance for The Voice to his long list of accomplishments, it looks like the “Son of a Sinner” singer is postponing his debut until the spring finale in 2024.

“I was looking forward to performing tonight on The Voice, but I am extremely sick and unable to perform,” Jelly Roll shared. “I’m sorry if I have disappointed anyone— if there was even a slight chance I could perform, I would be on that stage tonight.”

Jelly Roll continued, saying, “The Voice has been kind enough to have me back in May next year, and I look forward to giving y’all the best performance of my life. Thank y’all for all of your love and support!”

While Jelly Roll has not made his debut, one of his songs previously made it to The Voice.

Two members of Team Gwen, Jacquie Roar and BIAS, performed Jelly Roll’s hit song “Need A Favor.”

As soon as the official Instagram page for The Voice released a clip of the battle, Jelly Roll commented saying how honored he was.

“This is INCREDIBLE – I’m honored,” the singer wrote.
