Jelly Roll is about to hit a new milestone in his career by stepping into voice acting.
On Wednesday, January 14, it was confirmed that Jelly Roll has joined the cast for the new animated comedy Goat.
The Grammy-nominated singer shared the movie’s trailer on his Instagram, along with the first look at his character, Grizz.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this y’all – my voice acting debut is COMING SOON!!!,” Jelly wrote in the video’s caption.
Not only will Jelly Roll have his own character in the PG-rated movie, but his new song “I’m Good,” appears in it, too. It’s even featured in the first official trailer.

About The Animated Sports Comedy Goat
Goat is a Sony Pictures Animation project in collaboration with the NBA, according to Deadline.
Professional basketball player Stephen Curry is among the producers on the film. Artists from the teams behind critically acclaimed animated hits like K-Pop Demon Hunters and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, also helped bring the movie to life.
The movie is set in a world made entirely of animals. The story follows a small goat named Will, who has always had big dreams for himself.
According to the film’s IMDb page, he “gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball, a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.”
Jelly Roll isn’t the only big name who will be lending their voice to the film. He joins a star-studded cast that includes several well-know celebrities such as: Jennifer Hudson, Aaron Pierre, Ayesha Curry, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Sherry Cola and Eduardo Franco.
Additional casting announced last summer include, Stephen Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis and Patton Oswalt.
“Goat” will exclusively premiere in movie theaters on February 13.
