Kelly Clarkson Is Expanding Her Empire

There are ongoing rumors about the future of The Kelly Clarkson Show as speculation arises that the talk show host might be departing.

Earlier this year, concerns emerged regarding Clarkson’s unexplained absences, which led to other actors occasionally stepping in on short notice. This situation left fans apprehensive about the singer’s well-being and uncertain about her future with NBC.

Recently, several “insiders” have suggested that Clarkson is contemplating leaving her show. The New York Post reported that one such insider stated, “Kelly’s No. 1 priority is her children, and they always will be. The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”

Even though these rumors are circulating online, they have not been confirmed. It even seems that Clarkson is doing the opposite.

Kelly Clarkson’s New Show On NBC

According to Variety, a new NBC seriesSongs & Stories, has been greenlit.

Songs & Stories is based on a popular segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where the 1st American Idol winner interviews musicians about their lives and careers.

The official logline of the new show is,

“The conversations are a front-row pass for Kelly Clarkson to engage with some of her favorite celebrities and examine both their music and personal lives. The specials are a forum where iconic voices meet heartfelt storytelling through unfiltered conversation and sung in an intimate, unplugged setting.”

The new show is a four-part series that will begin airing on August 19 on NBC. The show will release the following three weeks: August 26, September 2, and September 9 a 10 PM ET/PT.

The show has already announced the four artists that Kelly Clarkson will interview. The four guests will be Teddy Swims, Lizzo, the Jonas Brothers, and Gloria Estefan.
