Zac Brown Debuts His Relationship With Kendra Scott
In May, country star Zac Brown made his relationship officially public with famous jewelry designer Kendra Scott.
The pair showed up on the red carpet together at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas at the time, with sources telling PEOPLE they were set up by a “mutual” friend.
“They were set up by a mutual friend, and are totally in love,” the source explained. “They are head over heels and have become inseparable.”
Brown, who is the lead singer for country group The Zac Brown Band, posted a picture of the two on his Instagram, wearing a black suit and wide-brimmed black hat, and Scott in a beautiful silver gown.
“Hit the @amas red carpet with the best date by my side.💙,” Brown wrote. “Ready to soak it all in and have some fun tonight!”
Scott is most well-known for her successful jewelry line, but also remains incredibly passionate about philanthropy, launching the Kendra Scott Foundation, an organization that aims to “empower women and youth in the areas of health and wellness, education, and entrepreneurship.”
Brown & Scott Make It Official
On July 24, Brown revealed to PEOPLE that he had proposed to Scott after just a few months of dating.
“We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” he said.
Brown gave Scott a large pink diamond, but kept the details about the ring and their engagement personal.
During an appearance on the TODAY Show to promote the Zac Brown Band’s new album, the hosts congratulated the musician and tried to ask for more details. Brown kept things close to his chest, but he did say:
“I’m blessed, I feel good. I got her good,” when it came to popping the question.
Kendra Scott Reveals Details Surrounding The Engagement
During a recent appearance on Jenna and Friends, Scott revealed sweet details that went into the immaculate proposal.
She said that while they were in Africa, Brown set up an intimate scene with lanterns during golden hour, while elephants and hippos roamed about in the background.
“We listened to that song, “I May Not Be Your First But I’m Your Last,”… and in that moment he got down on one knee,” Scott gushed.
The hosts, gasping, smiled along as she recalled the story.
“We both were crying, I don’t even know if we said yes or what happened,” Scott shared.
Scott said that they were just “smitten” over the entire ordeal. No wedding plans have been announced as of yet.
Both Brown and Scott have been married before. Brown was previously married to Shelly Brown for 12 years before their divorce in 2018. He married his second wife, model Kelly Yazdi, in August 2023, but the couple split just four months later.
Scott was married to John Scott from 2000 to 2006. She then married Matt Davis in 2014, and they were together until 2022. Two years later, she wed Thomas Evans, but they separated not long after.
Between the two of them, Brown and Scott have a total of eight children.
