Less than a week since the legendary country artist Kenny Rogers has passed, it has been announced that he will be honored at ACM’s virtual concert called Our Country.
Rogers passed away Friday (March 20) he was 81 years old.
The Our Country event will be taking the place of the 55th ACM Awards show that was scheduled to air Sunday, April 5 but has since been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
The specially televised two-hour event will be offering fans a unique way to enjoy their favorite country stars’ performances. Each country artist will be set up in the comfort of their own homes and virtually televising their performances in an acoustic setting, as well as having intimate conversations and sharing clips of some of their favorite ACM Award moments.
The country artists who have been confirmed to perform include Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown and John Legend, Luke Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban.
The special night of country performances will also include a segment honoring Kenny Rogers who is a ten-time ACM Award winner.
Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, and Darius Rucker are all scheduled to honor the late, great Kenny Rogers with an acoustic tribute to one of his multitude of hits. They will also be sharing their favorite ACM Award memories and clips from the past.
