Lainey Wilson Hosts The 2025 CMA Awards

Country music’s most talented artists gathered in Nashville, Tennessee for this year’s Country Music Association Awards (CMA Awards).

In addition to hosting this year’s CMA Awards, country superstar Lainey Wilson also delivered an unforgettable performance for her hit, “Ring Finger.” The timing couldn’t have been more impeccable, as Lainey is engaged herself!

Lainey hosted the highly anticipated show on her own, without a co-host. She becomes only the third woman in CMA history to serve as the ceremony’s sole host, following in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.

“I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor. I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much,” Lainey previously said.

She was also up for six awards, including the night’s top prize, Entertainer of the Year.

Lainey’s album “Whirlwind” won the 2025 ACM Award for Album of the Year and her hit “Heart Like a Truck” awarded her Country Song of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
