Aerosmith Teases New Version Of “Wild Woman”

Aerosmith previously teased a new version of their classic song, “Wild Woman,” set to feature a “mystery guest,” seemingly pointing at country superstar Lainey Wilson.

The band posted an Instagram teaser showing Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Yungblud, along with a cowboy hat from Charlie 1 Horse, the company behind Lainey’s signature line.

“A ‘Wild Woman’ feature coming soon,” they wrote. “There was a cowgirl who loved this song so much that we had to add her on! Can you guess who?”

Just one day later, Aeorsmith posted a throwback video alongside Lainey performing at Steven Tyler’s annual benefit concert, “Janie’s Fund.”

Lainey played into the little tease, commenting: “We’ve gotta get back together again soon…👀”

British singer-songwriter Yungblud has quickly become one of the most distinctive voices in modern alternative music. Rising to fame with his 2018 EP Yungblud and debut album 21st Century Liability, he gained wider recognition with The Underrated Youth in 2019 and the chart-topping album Weird! in 2020.

Yungblud and Aerosmith have now recorded a few tracks together, including “One More Time,” and “My Only Angel.”

Lainey Wilson Revealed As The Mystery “Cowgirl”

On Thursday (December 4), Lainey Wilson was officially revealed as the “cowgirl” behind the refreshed version of “Wild Woman.”

All three artists announced the news on Instagram, sharing a clip of Yungblud FaceTiming Lainey to talk through her role on the song. In the video, he gushes over her drawl, saying with his thick British accent, “I love your accent, man — it’s epic.”

Yungblud, wearing a cowboy hat on the call, says he put it on “especially” for Lainey.

The video shows the country superstar in the studio recording the song, with Yungblud providing insight on different angles she can take the melody.

“Wild Woman” featuring Lainey Wilson is set to release tomorrow (December 5)!
