Lainey Wilson Teases Fans With New Music
Lainey Wilson, one of country music’s hottest artists, is piquing her fan’s interests with another new teaser.
The country singer, who took home four new Academy of Country Music Awards last week, released a short clip on Instagram of her new song, “Somewhere Over Laredo.”
Sitting in the middle of an open dirt road with telephone poles in the distance, Wilson, wearing a trucker hat and brown leather jacket, sings a portion of the song that resembles the classic melody of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”
The ballad’s lyrics appear to reflect on past relationships, and the lingering thoughts of missing shared moments with someone special.
Based on her first clip of the teaser, which was posted just a few days prior in the setting of an empty airplane, the track uses travel and distance to convey the message of a fleeting romance.
Wilson’s New Music
Wilson joined forces with Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire last week, premiering a new song that left the country music world awestruck.
The trio released “Trailblazer,” a song dedicated to the influential country music female artists both past and present.
“I remember thinking that this could be a song that a grandmother and a daughter and a grandchild could listen to,” Wilson said.
The song offers odes to some of country music’s most famous women, including Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn.
“When you’re writing a song and you get that like feeling, it’s like the Holy Spirit feeling. And you just feel it all over your body. Definitely had that,” Wilson shared.
Wilson’s Music Continues To Connect Deeply With Fans
The Louisiana-native has had quite the successful year in country music!
Wilson’s album “Whirlwind” won the 2025 ACM Award for Album of the Year and her hit “Heart Like a Truck” awarded her Country Song of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Gaining over 69,000 likes in her newest clip, it is evident the new track is on its way to becoming another favorite among fans for the Entertainer of the Year.
