Morgan Wallen Has Changed Since Becoming A Dad
Country superstar Morgan Wallen says the birth of his son has changed who he prioritizes in life.
In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Today Country, the singer says since he had his now four-year-old son Indie, many of the people he has surrounded himself with have shifted.
“Yeah, I think I learned that lesson a lot. I mean, you’d think I would’ve learned it after one time, but it’s taken me a little more than it should have. But also, there were times when I really didn’t care,” Morgan admits. “I did whatever I wanted and whatever, but you know, you get older, you have a kid, and you start thinking about how that’s impacting other people and not just yourself. I think whenever he was born, I started really looking at the world that way.”
Morgan shared that being famous is not always so glamorous, and sometimes people are only interested in order to gain something for themselves.
“Like, man, I gotta be careful who I hang out with, I gotta be careful, you know, these people have a lot of… not everyone is users, but there’s a lot of them,” the 32-year-old said. “At this point, I’m gonna assume the worst in everyone, pretty much, to be honest. I mean, that’s just the way it is. I’m gonna assume you’re sh—y, and if you prove me wrong, awesome, but good luck.”

Morgan’s Latest Song Written For His Son, Indie
Wallen recently released his song “Superman” on his newest album I’m The Problem, dedicated to Indie, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend KT Smith.
Despite primarily keeping him out of the spotlight, both parents occasionally share photos of the young boy, who appears to be a very happy-go-lucky child.
“Been trying for a long time to write a song I loved to my son,” Wallen shared before the release. “None of them ever feel good enough because of how perfect I want something like this to be. And not saying this is perfect, but I am very proud of it.”
“Superman” was met with excited reactions from fans, encouraging Morgan that he was an incredible father.
“He’s so lucky to have you as his Dad. The perfect song,” one fan wrote.
“Amazing song Morgan ! Your son will be proud,” another wrote.
“Superman” Draws Inspiration From Morgan’s Chair-Throwing Incident
In April 2024, Wallen was arrested on felony charges after throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s bar in downtown Nashville.
While no one was injured in the incident, the chair reportedly landed near two police officers who were standing in front of the bar.
The country music star singer pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts in a deal that reduced the charges from felonies and was sentenced to seven days in a DUI education center, as well as two years probation.
Wallen later posted on social media acknowledging the ordeal, saying that he accepted full responsibility over his actions.
“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility,” he said.
