NFL Legend Brett Favre Suggests “Patriot” Jason Aldean Perform For Super Bowl Halftime Show

On September 28, musician Bad Bunny was officially announced as the Super Bowl LX halftime performer.
Bad Bunny is a rapper, singer, and producer from Puerto Rico, who has been dubbed the “King of Latin Trap,” and considered one of the best latin rappers of all time. He’s also had roles in the films F9, Bullet Train, Cassandro, and Caught Stealing.
Many people were not pleased with the NFL’s decision and multiple petitions have been launched seeking to replace Bad Bunny with country music legend George Strait.
One petition starter, Kar Shell, said that he believed the halftime show “should unite our country, honor American culture, and remain family-friendly, not be turned into a political stunt.”

Turning Point USA, which was founded by Charlie Kirk, also announced in October that it will be hosting the All American Halftime Show during the Super Bowl in protest against the decision.
The announcement of the All American Halftime Show noted that it will be “celebrating faith, family, and freedom.”
Super Bowl LX will be held on February 8, 2026.
Former NFL Player Brett Favre Calls For A Country Singer To Perform At The Super Bowl
Pro Football Hall of Famer and vocal Donald Trump supporter Brett Favre expressed his choice for the halftime performance, and he’s favoring “patriotic” country singers.
During a recent episode on his podcast “4th and Favre”, the former NFL player suggested Jason Aldean step in and perform for the nation’s most viewed sporting event.
“You know, someone who loves this country and that everyone can relate to. I think Jason Aldean right now is as big a patriot and has a great voice,” Favre said.
Favre also voiced support for George Strait as a potential halftime show performer.
“He may be like, ‘I ain’t doing that,’ even if they ask,” Favre said of Strait. “But I don’t know how many No. 1s he’s had, but good lord. It’s enormous. I don’t think he’s ever done it, but that would be a pretty cool act to watch.”

In December, Favre shared an update on his health a year after revealing he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
“I’m probably like most people – I thought there was just one Parkinson’s and that was it. There’s not. There’s multiple, many forms of Parkinson’s,” Favre said on the “4th and Favre” podcast. “And I have what’s called idiopathic, which is the most common. And I think the other thing most people think when they hear of Parkinson’s is they think of shaking.”
The NFL hall of famer says he manages his symptoms with medication, but sometimes he feels like a “pretzel.”
“I get from time to time, ‘Oh you must not be too bad because you don’t shake.’ I have very little shaking. I have some, but it’s pretty rare,” Favre said. “But as I’ve learned, the Parkinson’s that I have has three different characteristics. One of those three you’ll have as the dominant side effect. It’s cognitive and memory is one. Shaking and tremors is two. And rigidity and stiffness is three. I major in the rigidity and stiffness.”
