Rob Reiner & Wife Michele Found Deceased
Princess Bride director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were found deceased inside of their Los Angeles mansion on December 14, TMZ reported. The outlet reports that the two suffered wounds consistent with a knife attack.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched to their residence in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue around 3:38 p.m. following a call for medical assistance.
The New York Times reported that a massage therapist arrived at the home for an appointment, but no one answered the gate. The therapist then called the couple’s daughter, Romy, who came over and discovered her father’s body.
The paramedics later informed her about her mother’s death. Several hours later, Romy’s brother Nick was arrested in connection with the murders.

Who Was Rob Reiner?
Reiner was an American actor, director, producer, and political activist who was a major figure in Hollywood for decades.
He first became widely known as an actor in the 1970s for his role as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the classic TV sitcom All in the Family. He later found greater success behind the camera, helming several iconic films, including The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally.
Reiner was married to Michele since 1989.

Nick Reiner Appears In Court
Nick first appeared in court on December 17 to be arraigned for the murders of his parents. Fox News reports that Nick was wearing a blue suicide vest, also known as an anti-suicide smock, in court. Fox also obtained a courtroom sketch.
Nick previously retained high-profile defense attorney Alan Jackson as his legal counsel. Jackson had previously represented figures such as Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey.
On January 7, Reiner made his second appearance in Los Angeles County Superior Court, but faced an additional delay in the proceedings after Jackson withdrew as counsel, asking “to be removed.”
Jackson said he could not explain why he withdrew from the case, but maintained that his former client was “not guilty” of murder.
Nick finally appeared in court again on Monday, February 23, when he officially entered his plea: “not guilty.”
According to USA Today, Nick spoke only one word during the brief arraignment hearing. He said “yes” when the judge asked if he understood.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman confirmed that Nick’s case is still “death penalty eligible.”
Nick Reiner’s next court date has been scheduled for April 29.
