Nicole Kidman Confesses Exact Moment She Knew Keith Was The One

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman‘s love story is no secret to the world. From awards shows to movie premieres, this gorgeous couple can hardly keep their hands off one another. They’ve been gushing over each other for 15+ years, but now, Kidman is opening up about the first time she knew he was the one.

A Fairytale Love

The young stars met in 2005 when at a gala in Hollywood. After meeting, Kidman instantly had a crush on the singer but didn’t think he felt the same for her. Four months later, Urban called Kidman, and the rest was history. The couple began seriously seeing each other in every place they could between both of their busy schedules.

It wasn’t long before Urban was down on one knee proposing to his future bride. One year later, the couple tied the knot in a beautiful summer wedding. But before their real fairytale began, Kidman opens up about when she fell head over heels.

The Moment She Knew

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Kidman spills all the details about their days leading up to happily ever after.

“It was my [38th] birthday, and he stood outside with gardenias at 5 a.m. on my stoop in New York. That is when I went, ‘This is the man I hope I get to marry.”

Urban then took her on a wild ride to Woodstock, N.Y. on his motorbike and she felt right then in her heart that she had finally met the man she was waiting for.

“I believed by that point he was the love of my life. Maybe that’s because I am deeply romantic, or I’m an actress, or I have strong faith as well, but I just believed, ‘Oh, okay, here he is.”

Today, Tomorrow, & Forever

The inseparable duo has been setting standards for couples ever since. Even through Hollywood’s spotlight, they’ve remained stronger than ever. Urban and Kidman are now raising two beautiful girls together, Sunday, 13, and Faith, 10.
