Pink Addresses Rumors About Taking Over “The Kelly Clarkson Show”
on Mar 02, 2026

There’s been a lot of speculation about who will take over Kelly Clarkson’s time slot once The Kelly Clarkson Show ends, and Pink has been at the top of everyone’s lists.
At the beginning of February, Clarkson announced that she would be ending her talk show after its seven-season run.
The singer shared a statement posted to both her and the show’s Instagram pages, explaining that she has decided to step away from daytime television to prioritize her family.
The news came six months after her ex-husband and father of her children, Brandon Blackstock, passed away at the age of 48 following a battle with cancer. Although it’s sad to see Kelly’s show go, fans understand her desire to spend more time with her kids, Remi (9) and River Rose (11).
“This season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives,” the announcement read. “This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”
With Kelly’s departure coming up, fans are wondering who will step in as the next big name in daytime TV.
Lately, a lot of attention has been on fellow pop star Pink, with rumors going around that she’s a possible replacement.
Last week, Page Six reported that the “So What” singer has allegedly relocated to New York City from California. A source told the outlet that they “saw her at Soho House yesterday with a guy who seemed to be part of [her] team. She spent a few hours reading paperwork and documents on a computer.”
Pink is also set to guest-host Kelly’s show, beginning Monday, March 2, so many assumed this could be a test run to see how it would go if she were to take over.
Is Pink Taking Over The Kelly Clarkson Show?
There’s been so much buzz and excitement surrounding Pink’s possible hosting gig, but is it actually happening?
Over the weekend, the three-time Grammy winner finally confirmed whether or not it’s true.
In a video shared on Instagram, Pink is seen relaxing and soaking up the sun. She opens the clip by saying she’s making it “just in a continuation of debunking all of the ‘sources’ that we’ve got going on in the world.”
“I’m not taking over the Kelly Clarkson Show,” she quickly clarified. “I’m doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly because it’s a fun thing.“
But could fans see Pink hosting her own talk show in the future? Well, at least for right now, it’s simply not something she’s interested in.
“If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one. And it would be amazing,” she continued. “Not something I’m currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world…”
So, for now, it’s still unclear who (or if) The Kelly Clarkson Show will get a replacement host. In the meantime, fans can still catch new episodes airing until the show wraps up at the end of this year.
