Conservative Commentator Charlie Kirk Killed At 31

Charlie Kirk, a popular conservative commentator and CEO of Turning Point USA, was shot during a Q&A session Wednesday (September 10) at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The shooting occurred under a pop-up tent on campus as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” Bystanders described the scene as chaotic after the shots were fired.

Kirk was pronounced dead just hours after the incident, President Donald Trump confirmed on social media.

President Donald Trump Speaks With Charlie’s Wife, Erika

President Trump shared that he spoke with Charlie’s “devastated” wife, Erika on Thursday (September 11).

“I spoke to Erika, his wife. And we had a long talk. And she’s devastated. She is absolutely devastated, as you can imagine,” Trump told reporters.

Vice President JD Vance And Wife Usha Accompany Erika With Charlie’s Casket To Arizona

On Thursday (September 11) Vice President JD Vance transported the casket of Kirk, along with Erika, to Phoenix aboard Air Force Two. They landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in the early afternoon.

Vance and his wife, Usha, met with Erika in Salt Lake City before accompanying her to Arizona. Kirk lived in Phoenix with his wife, Erika, and their two children.

Following Kirk’s horrific death, Vance took to social media to remember his dear friend.

“Charlie Kirk was a true friend. The kind of guy you could say something to and know it would always stay with him,” Vance said. “You ran a good race, my friend. We’ve got it from here.”
