Reba McEntire shared a hilarious story of her accidental “gummy” encounter during a recent The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon appearance.
Reba’s conversation with Jimmy Fallon started with the singer being asked about her late mother.
Reba shared that her mother passed away in 2020 from cancer. The sullen moment did not last long as Reba quickly changed the subject. She shifted the conversation to a funny moment with her mother before her passing.

Reba’s “Gummy” Encounter
The singer shifted the conversation to a memory she has never shared
publicly.
Reba was visiting her mother before the start of a tour she had been planning for months. She said, “I had a little break, so it was my time. I needed to go back, be with Mama, and give Alice, Pake, and Susie a break because they’d been taking care of her. I stayed with her, slept in the bed with her, and everything.”
Her mother was taking “special” gummies to help with the pain caused by her cancer. Reba’s siblings were giving their mother the gummies when she was in pain, but the singer thought they should “get ahead of it.”
Her mother took half of the gummy, and Reba thought to herself, “Well, shoot, Mama’s taking it. I need to see what she’s experiencing.” So she took the other half.
Jimmy paused the singer to ask her, “Do you have any experience with gummies?”
Reba responded, “Maybe one time, you know, like two milligrams or something like that.”
When her mother woke up in the middle of the night, Reba went to get up to help her, only to realize she couldn’t move. The singer then shared the hilarious story of how, struggling with every step, she made her way to the kitchen but ended up spilling an entire freezer’s worth of ice onto the floor—all because she was still feeling the effects of a gummy.
When she finally laid back down to go to bed for the night, she said, “I swear, there were weeds and flowers growing out of my head.”
At the end of the conversation, Jimmy asked her how many milligrams her gummy was. It turns out Reba had accidentally taken a 50 MG gummy!
