Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and one of the most iconic voices in rock history, died at the age of 76 in July. His family announced his passing in a public statement shortly after.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the statement read.

The news of Ozzy’s death came just weeks after his farewell show on July 5. During the performance, he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

Sharon Osbourne Touched By Donald Trump’s Well Wishes

During a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Sharon became emotional as she shared a heartfelt voicemail left by President Donald Trump following the death of Ozzy.

Sharon, together with her children Kelly and Jack, played the message publicly for the first time during the episode.

“Hi Sharon, it’s Donald Trump. I just wanted to wish you and the family the best. Ozzy was amazing — a truly unique and talented guy. I met him a few times, and I just wanted to tell you how special he was. I know how close you were, and this is a tough thing.”

Sharon responded: “He didn’t have to call. That was really kind of him.” She went on to stress that her appreciation for the gesture was purely personal, not political.

“I can’t even vote here — I’m British. But what he did was a kind, human thing, and I’ll always be grateful for that.”

Sharon, who previously worked with Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice in 2010, said that she has always found him and First Lady Melania to be respectful and sincere.

“Listen, when it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner,” she said. “Whoever you like, half of people are gonna [be unhappy], and now it’s more so than ever in history… You can’t come out a winner. All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month — I spent one month with him and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to,” she explained.

She thanked Trump deeply, saying he didn’t have to do what he did but their grieving family appreciated the sentiment.

The Osbourne’s also shared that King Charles also wrote them a handwritten note, sharing that he has always been kind to their family over the years.

“Our King. Now we’re talking,” Sharon said, with emotion in her voice. “He’s an amazing person. Not just because he wrote to us when Ozzy passed, but if he did it for us, you know he does it for many, many people.”
