Sharon Osbourne Remembers Her Legendary Husband, Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne still remembers her final conversation with her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, before he passed earlier this year.

Ozzy, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and one of the most iconic voices in rock history, died at the age of 76 in July. His family announced his passing in a public statement shortly after.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the statement read.

The news of Ozzy’s death came just weeks after his farewell show on July 5. During the performance, he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

Although Ozzy had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his primary cause of death was listed as out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

On what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday, Sharon shared a sweet tribute in honor of her late husband.

“My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side,” Sharon wrote.

Sharon accompanied her message with a video set to his song “See You on the Other Side,” featuring photos from her and Ozzy’s life together.

Sharon Shares Some Of Ozzy’s Last Moments

During the Wednesday (December 10) episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon opened up to Piers Morgan about some of Ozzy’s emotional last words.

“He told me that he was having dreams the last week of his life. He was seeing people that he never knew,” Sharon recalled“I said, ‘Well, what kind of people?’ He goes, ‘All different people. I just keep walking and walking, and I’m seeing all these different people every night, and I go back there and I’m looking at these people, and they’re looking at me, and nobody’s talking.’ And he knew. He was ready.”

Sharon explained how Ozzy had been having very “vivid dreams” right before his passing.

“The night before he passed, he [got] up and down to the bathroom all night, and it was like 4:30 and he said, ‘Wake up,’” she said. “He said, ‘Kiss me,’ and then he said, ‘Hug me tight?’”

Sharon shared the next morning, when Ozzy passed, she “just knew” he was gone.

“[I heard] screaming in the house, and I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m, like, ‘Don’t, leave him. He’s gone,’” she said. “I knew instantly he’s gone. And they tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it’s, like, ‘He’s gone. Just leave him.’”
