A Plane Crash Has Left 3 People In Critical Condition.

A skydiving airplane crashed today, Wednesday, July 2, in New Jersey.

According to the officials on the scene, the plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The pilot did communicate that he believed something was wrong with the aircraft during ascent and attempted to circle back and land. However, he was unable to do so.

There were 15 people on board the aircraft—14 skydivers and one pilot.

Andrew Halter with Gloucester County Emergency Management held a press briefing to speak on the crash. He shared that it is “remarkable” that this crash did not result in any fatalities.

However, 3 people were taken by medical helicopter to Cooper University Hospital and are said to be in critical condition.

11 others sustained minor injuries, and 1 refused medical treatment.

The aircraft was a Cessna 208 B, owned by Arnie Aviation LLC and leased to Skydive Cross Keys for jumps.

Crews are still assessing the damage and do not want to provide detailed information about the crash at this time.

During the official press briefing, it was reported that the plane is severely damaged. When responders arrived, most survivors were covered in jet fuel, and they were quickly triaged and treated on the scene before being transferred to the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains unknown, and there are no further updates on the three in critical condition. Watch the official press briefing below.
