The “All American Halftime Show” Will Be Held During The Super Bowl

Turning Point USA, which was founded by Charlie Kirk, announced on October 9 that it will be hosting the All American Halftime Show during the 2026 Super Bowl.

This comes after the NFL announced on September 28 that Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny will be the Super Bowl halftime show performer.

It also came a matter of days after Christian artists Cory Asbury and Forrest Frank announced they were going to put on an alternative halftime show that would glorify Christ, dubbed “Jesus Bowl ’26.” (More on Jesus Bowl ’26 below)

While Turning Point USA’s announcement does not yet include the names of any performers or other details concerning how it will be broadcast, the announcement of the All American Halftime Show notes it will be “celebrating faith, family, and freedom.”

Super Bowl LX will be held on February 8, 2026.

At the announcement’s attached link, which is americanhalftimeshow.com, there is a form for interested individuals where they can sign up to be the first to learn the details of the All American Halftime Show.

There, they may also fill out a survey, which asks the following question: “What music genres would you like to see featured?”

Listed options include Americana, classic rock, country, hip hop, pop, worship, and “anything in English.”

The announcement of this event follows the memorial service that was held for Charlie Kirk, who was killed on September 10.

At the memorial service, which was held on September 21 in the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, over 90,000 people attended, including President Donald Trump.

As part of the memorial service, a two-hour Christian worship music set was held, with many of the biggest names in contemporary Christian music performing, including Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe Carnes, Cody Carnes, and Tiffany Hudson of Elevation Worship.

Anticipation for the lineup announcement at the All American Halftime Show has led to some false reports being made.

Jesus Bowl ’26 Postponed After Not Merging With Turning Point USA’s Halftime Event

Days before Turning Point USA announced the All American Halftime Show, Christian artist Cory Asbury proposed on his Instagram on October 4 that there should be “an alternative family friendly halftime show.”

This sentiment was echoed by fellow Christian artist Forrest Frank on his Instagram, and the concept for “Jesus Bowl ’26” was born.

Notably, when Turning Point USA announced the All American Halftime Show, Cory initially responded that the event was not affiliated with what he and Forrest Frank were working on, dubbed the “Jesus Bowl ’26.”

In a November 4 video shared by Cory, it was confirmed that the two alternative halftime shows will remain unaffiliated.

Noting he has been “getting blown up” with messages regarding his proposed Jesus Bowl ’26, Cory revealed that he and Forrest Frank spoke with Turning Point USA after they announced their All American Halftime Show a matter of days after he proposed doing a Christian alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show.

“In the spirit of unity, Forrest and I jumped on a call with [Turning Point USA’s] team to talk it through,” Cory said, adding it was a “productive” and “amicable discussion.”

However, they won’t be moving forward together.

Cory said, “At the end of the day, the two visions are just incompatible.”

Saying that he and Forrest Frank “want this to be a Jesus moment,” Cory added that they hope for this to be a “time where culture is doing one thing and we’re doing another.”

By “glorifying the name of Jesus” and “showing His preeminence,” Cory said that worship and prayer will define Jesus Bowl ’26.

“I almost see it like an evangelistic Billy Graham crusade kind of thing, where there’s a call to the altar, a call to give lives to Jesus,” Cory said.

Presently, Cory is seeking a venue, sponsors, and donors, noting that he and Forrest “are not taking a dime” from putting this alternative halftime show event together.

However, on November 10, Cory shared an update, stating that he Jesus Bowl ’26 was not going to move forward in its current form.

This decision, he said, came after much prayer. Cory went on to remind his followers online that, for him, it was “never about competition” or politics, but was, instead, simply about worship.

“We want whatever we do next to be pure and focused on Jesus, not on headlines, not on hype.”
