Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Announced That They Are Engaged
It’s a huge day for Taylor Swift fans!
On Tuesday, August 26, Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, announced their engagement.
The couple shared the exciting news on their Instagram accounts. They posted a series of photos capturing the special moment when Kelce proposed.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption to their announcement read.
Swift and Kelce’s romance began in the summer of 2023, after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium.
After the show, Kelce admitted on his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast that he was disappointed he didn’t get to meet her.
Rumors began circulating a few months later when Swift attended a Chiefs game in September 2023. It was later revealed that their relationship began after Swift heard Kelce’s confession about wanting to meet her.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift had told TIME in her December 2023 Person of the Year cover story.
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
