Donice Morace was only six years old when his father bought him his first guitar. That guitar started his musical journey through life.

A young Morace continued to develop his love for music as a member of his school’s choir. But he finally realized music was his life’s calling after he went to a George Strait concert while he was a student at Texas A&M. From that moment on, Morace knew he was destined to pursue his own career in country music.

It’s a career that led Morace to today, as he premieres the official music video for his brand-new single, “One Drink In.”

“One Drink In” was written by Mark Nesler, Andrew Dorff, and Wendell Mobley. The haunting and seductive new song remains authentic to Morace’s established brand while also demonstrating artistic growth that will hopefully resonate with new listeners.

I am looking forward to this new phase of my career and introducing our brand of country music to you,” Morace says about “One Drink In.”

At its core, “One Drink In” is a song about the burning hot passion between two people in love. Morace conveys this overwhelming sense of attraction in the chorus, as he sings, “only one drink in and I’m already all over you and you’re all over me

Morace’s music video for “One Drink In” taps into the song’s theme. The setting is a stunning modern mansion in the hills. It follows a couple as they go about their daily lives, finding themselves overwhelmed with desire because of how much they love each other. The scenes of the couple are shown in black and white, while scenes featuring Morace are in full color, giving the video visual contrast throughout.

Morace has worked hard to develop his own sound, which was influenced by country greats such as Keith Whitley, George Jones, and Conway Twitty. He also learned a great deal from fellow Texas natives Tracy Byrd and Mark Chesnutt.

I wanted to be like them, but also bring my own fresh high energy approach to it,” Morace recalls.

He made a name for himself in the Beaumont country music scene before he moved to Atlanta and performed five nights a week at Cowboy’s Dance Hall. Morace was given the opportunity to open for acts such as Lonestar, Kenny Chesney, and one of his musical heroes, Merle Haggard. He eventually returned to Texas, and continued to open for major acts such as Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, and Cody Johnson.

Morace released his self-titled debut EP in 2017. That EP produced the singles “Good Hurt Comin’ On” and “WD-40 and Duct Tape,” which reached the 25th and 15th spots on the Texas Regional Radio Report, respectively.

His debut album, Long Live the Cowboy, was released in 2019. Its single, “Through the Jukebox,” has generated over 350,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Now, Morace is hoping to continue his success with “One Drink In,” which is currently available for pre-save at this link. It will be released on Friday (August 12). Watch the premiere of its official music video below.
