‘The Voice’ Announces Its Season 29 Coaches

NBC’s The Voice has officially announced the coaching lineup for Season 29, and they’re all familiar faces that fans already love!

Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine are set to return to the iconic red chairs as coaches for Season 29 of The Voice.

This will be the first time viewers have seen the three coaches together since Season 16, which aired back in 2019.

For those who plan to tune in, don’t let the news confuse you. Season 29 of The Voice won’t air until the spring of 2026.

The show is currently getting ready for Season 28, which is set to premiere this fall. This season will feature coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dog, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire as they guide their teams to victory.

According to Deadline, the two seasons will be shot at the same time. This is why the news of Season 29 came before Season 28 airs.

‘The Voice’ Announces Major Revamps For Its 2026 Season

Along with the exciting news about the Season 29 coaching lineup, the network has also shared that major changes are coming to the show in 2026.

The new season will be titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, and introduce “fast-paced, competitive elements,” per Deadline.

The show will introduce a new “Triple Turn Competition.” This will include four rounds where coaches compete to get the most three-chair turns.

The coach with the most at the end will earn a “Super Steal” to use in the battle rounds. This one-time power lets them block another coach’s steal attempt, guaranteeing they keep the artist on their team.

Another new addition to Season 29 will take place during the Knockouts. Each coach will bring back two fan-favorite artists from their past teams to compete in an “In-Season All-Star Competition.”

The coach who wins the most sing-offs in this round will earn a second finalist spot in the finale.

CeeLo Green, who is one of the original Voice coaches, will return to declare the winner.

There will also be changes heading into the semifinal and finale weeks.

The semifinals will feature a Top 9, which will then be narrowed down to a Top 4 for the finale.

For the first time ever, voting for the winner will look a little different, as it will include a new voting block made up of super fans and past Voice artists.
