Tiger Woods Was Arrested For A DUI Following A Rollover Crash
On Friday, March 27, golf legend Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident that left his Land Rover flipped over.
Hours later, authorities held a press conference and revealed that Woods had been arrested for driving under the influence.

More details about the incident were later released in Woods’ arrest affidavit.
Reports say the golfer crossed double solid lines while trying to pass a truck pulling a trailer. He ended up hitting the trailer, which caused his vehicle to flip.
The 50-year-old later confessed that he was looking at his phone and changing the radio station at the time of the crash.
Authorities also said he appeared lethargic and had bloodshot eyes when they approached him. There were no signs of alcohol in his system, but he did admit to taking prescribed medications earlier in the day.
Two pills identified as hydrocodone, typically given by a doctor for pain relief, were found in his pocket.
Following his arrest, Woods was released on bond and shared a statement a few days later.
In a post on X, he said he would be taking time away to prioritize his recovery. A portion of his statement read:
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

Body Cam Footage Of Tiger Woods’ Arrest Has Been Released
Nearly one week after Woods’ rollover crash, body cam footage from officers at the scene was released, showing the moments leading up to his arrest.
A video obtained by Fox News shows Woods kneeling on the grass as a cop questions him about what happened.
Woods told him that he was looking “down on my phone, and all of a sudden, boom.”
The golfer appeared to be compliant with the deputy as he patted him down during the search.
The clip also shows an officer speaking with the driver of the truck and trailer that was hit. He says he was about to make a turn when he saw Woods’ car “coming fast.”
“I don’t think he was looking, that’s the thing,” the driver said.
Woods is expected to appear in court in Martin County, though an exact date has not been set. Court documents reveal that his driver’s license has been suspended.
