The President’s Youngest Child Called London Police From The United States
During a trial this week in London, England, the prosecution revealed that President Donald Trump‘s youngest child, Barron Trump, 19, called Metropolitan Police to report an alleged assault.
This call was reportedly made one year ago, on Jan. 18, 2025, with the prosecution releasing a transcript of the call made by Barron, who was 18 at the time.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Barron alleged he had witnessed over a video call a woman he “is very close with … getting hurt.”
The identity of the alleged victim has not been released, but she has been framed to jurors in the trial as a “friend” of Barron Trump.
Barron Trump Reportedly Witnessed The Incident Over A Video Call
While the victim’s identity has not been released, the accused is Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, who is charged with assault and two counts of rape.
According to NBC News, Rumiantsev has denied the allegations leveled against him during the trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
With Crown Prosecution Services releasing the transcript of Barron Trump’s call to London police, many questions still remain.
“I’m calling from the U.S., I just got a call from a girl, you know, she’s getting beat up,” Trump said. “This was happening about eight minutes ago. I just figured out how to, how to call someone. It’s really an emergency.”
Months after making the call to Metropolitan Police, Barron was asked to give a witness statement.
Replying on May 2, 2025, Barron explained, “I didn’t expect her to pick up due to the time difference.”
When his video call was answered, he did not see the woman initially.
Barron stated, “The individual who answered was a shirtless man with darkish hair. This view lasted maybe one second … then the view flipped to the victim.”
From there, Barron said he “made two of [his] friends call the Met Police in the UK, even though they are in the US.”
When Barron called the police on his own, eight minutes had already passed since he witnessed the alleged assault on the video call.
Chronicled in the transcript of his call, Barron reportedly resisted sharing details about who his friend is, but ultimately disclosed some information about her, which was redacted from the transcript presented in court.
“I mean, these details don’t matter, she’s getting beat up,” he said.
When asked how he knew of the alleged assault, Barron said he “got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”
Pressed again on providing information about how he knew the alleged victim, Barron replied:
“I don’t think those details matter, she’s getting beat up, ok, but fine, also I met her on social media. I don’t think that matters.”
Reiterating the seriousness of the situation, Barron stated again, “She’s getting beat up.”
From there, the Metropolitan Police operator asked Barron to “stop being rude” and to comply with questions asked, with the operator adding, “If you want to help the person, you’ll answer my questions clearly and precisely, thank you.”
“She’s getting really badly beat up, and the call was about eight minutes ago,” he said. “I don’t know what could have happened by now.”
Barron added, “Sorry for being rude.”
In his witness statement, Barron stated:
“As per evidence, I do not have any. I was told by the victim who I am very close with that this individual was giving her difficulty for a long time.”
Barron reportedly said he was not familiar with the man he claims to have witnessed assaulting his friend.
However, CNN notes that the accused, Rumiantsev, was aware of the alleged victim’s friendship with Barron going back to October of 2024, according to testimony given in court on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Testifying, Rumiantsev said, “I started to explain that I felt upset as well about her talking to Barron Trump … I was in no way controlling but I was trying to make her know that if she feels unwell seeing messages I had with girls 10 years ago, she could maybe understand how I felt when she was sat there this moment texting someone else.”
During his testimony, Rumiantsev admitted to answering Barron’s video call during the incident Barron claims to have witnessed.
“I noticed her phone next to me on the sofa and it was ringing with a Barron Trump face call,” Rumiantsev said. “I don’t know what went through my head but I answered yes.”
Notably, the incident allegedly occurred on Jan. 18, 2025, which was two days before Barron’s father, President Trump, was sworn in for his second term as president of the United States.
The trial is still underway.
