Country music singer Zach Bryan was arrested Thursday evening in Vinita, Oklahoma.

Zach Bryan was arrested and booked into the Criag County jail following an incident on Thursday evening (September 7). He was charged with “obstruction of investigation” according to the Craig County Sheriff’s office.

While it is still unclear what lead to the arrest, the 27-year-old has spoken out about the incident on social media.

Bryan’s post on X reads, “Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said. I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around. Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”

Reagan Ledbetter, reporter from Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported that Bryan was arrested by Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Bryan’s case will be reviewed by the Craig County District Attorney who will determine if they will file charges.

Ledbetter said, “This is an arrest, not a conviction.”

Following the recent release of his self-titled album on August 25, Zach Bryan is currently one of the most popular artists in country music. His new album topped the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and his current duet with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything,” is currently the top song in the U.S., earning Bryan his first No.1 on either chart.
