Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers secured the gig of a lifetime when they signed up to open for Carrie Underwood's The Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round. The tour, which kicked off in January, has become one of this year's most talked about because of its dynamite performances and its unique set up.
But, some of the tour's most interesting stories have taken place outside of the arena. From pranks and injuries to seeing each other at their best and worst, there are plenty of stories to go around. There are also plenty of jobs that need done and it takes a little hard work from everyone involved to make things go off without a hitch. In an interview just prior to the tour's launch, Easton Corbin shared that Carrie Underwood asked him to share diaper changing duties.
“She actually texted me, which was really, really cool,” Corbin told The Boot. “She’s like, ‘Hey, let’s figure out some songs that we could sing together.’ And [then she said], ‘Oh, by the way, are you good at changing diapers?’ I said, ‘I’ve got the song thing down pretty good, but the diaper thing might take a little practice. But I’m a team player. I got a hose.”
In addition to diaper changing duties, there are also every day chores that need to be done, such as laundry. While it would be easy for an artist to hire someone to take care of the dirty work, Underwood insists on washing her own clothes. In a new interview with CMT's Cody Alan, Easton Corbin shares that he has witnessed the new mom doing the tedious chore.
"I gotta give her props. Obviously she has a baby boy out there, man, I've seen her doing laundry out there," Corbin told Alan of Underwood.
Cody Alan goes on to reflect on a past interview in which Carrie Underwood shared why she insists on doing the task herself. "I don't like the idea of somebody else folding my undies. There's certain things, I'm like, 'That's what people do. People do laundry,'" Underwood said.
Carrie Underwood has several more months of road laundry ahead of her as The Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round won't wrap until November, just a week before the 'Something in the Water' singer joins Keith Urban in Australia for several stops on his Ripcord tour.
