Mary Sarah “Blows The Roof Off” With Cover Of “Stand By Your Man”

There’s no doubt that Blake Shelton‘s Season 10 ‘Voice‘ team is stacked! Adam Wakefield, Paxton Ingram, and Mary Sarah have consistently delivered amazing performances week after week, and this week was no different. 

The trio may be coached by one of country music’s biggest stars, the Wakefield and Ingram departed from Blake’s genre this week by covering Ray Charles and Celine Dion, respectively. Only Mary Sarah stuck to her country roots and delivered her own take on Tammy Wynette’s signature tune, “Stand By Your Man” for her Top 10 performance.

Blake Shelton was entranced by Mary Sarah’s delivery and couldn’t help but sing along. The coach applauded his protege for “blowing the roof off this place.”

Within an hour of the show’s conclusion, Mary Sarah’s cover had already shot to the iTunes country Top 5. The singer is still riding high from last week’s perfect performance of “Johnny and June” which topped the iTunes country chart. From the looks of things, Mary Sarah will be taking Tammy Wynette’s hit to the top this week.
