During the height of her iconic big hair and her career in 1989, Reba McEntire married beloved manager and former guitar player, Narvel Blackstock. Together the two rebuilt Reba’s career, while creating a beautiful family.
The couple married on June 3, 1989 in a private ceremony aboard a boat in Lake Tahoe. The “Fancy” singer inherited three stepchildren, and in February of 1990 the couple welcomed their first and only son together, Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock.
Married for more than 20 years, Reba says her advice for making a marriage last is, ‘Respect, faith, love, trust, and lots of patience’.
