It was with a former tribute performance from LeAnn Rimes at the highly anticipated ACA's back in 2013 that brought country music legend Patsy Cline back into the hearts of tuned in fans. The performance, featured in a simple black and white filter to build upon the "vintage" element, features Rimes in a stunning white gown cradling a microphone resembling the older antiques models that Cline often used throughout her career.
Rimes' powerful vocals and genuine emotion captivated her audience as she channeled a soulful rendition of Cline's classics, "Crazy" and "Leavin' On Your Mind".
Cline's untimely death in 1963 after her plane tragically crashed due to weather conditions broke the hearts of fans and fellow entertainers worldwide. Its been suggested that Rimes' very first hit, "Blue" was originally written for Cline prior to the tragedy, and, when Rimes was merely thirteen-years-old, songwriter Bill Mack allowed Rimes to record it, thus starting her sensational music career.
