One of the most iconic scenes in the history of American film was born after two musicians battled it out in the 1972 film Deliverance. A young banjo player delivered a killer cover of “Dueling Banjos” on the streets of Yorkshire, England upon the request of a passerby.

“I was walking past this young playing the banjo and I ask him could he play ‘Dueling Banjos’ from the film Deliverance he said no problem,” reported the person behind the video.

The young street artist flawlessly executed the song, effortlessly nailing each note of the classic song without fail. The young boy exudes charm throughout his delivery of the beloved song you just have to see to believe.

“Dueling Banjos” was an international hit, reaching No.2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 as well as No.1 on Canada’s all genre chart. The scene in which the song appears features actor Billy Redden in the role of a mentally challenged boy with a musical gift performing the bluegrass hit, blowing away even his biggest criticizers.

You can watch the young boy’s rendition of the song below.
