In January, Jelly Roll Opened His Bar, Goodnight Nashville

Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville bar opened its doors in Downtown Nashville on January 16, 2025, becoming the first celebrity bar in the area opened by a native to Music City.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, was born and raised in Nashville’s Antioch neighborhood.

Goodnight Nashville took over the Trail West Boot Store between 2nd and 3rd Ave S.

Goodnight Nashville features five stories of excitement and entertainment including full bars with an extensive dining menu, a second story inspired by his wife, Bunnie Xo, and a cocktail lounge honoring his father, Buddy.

The main bar is adorned with a skull wearing a crown, similar to the one on Jelly Roll’s latest album.

In February 2025, the bar hosted a Grand Opening celebration that featured flash-style tattoos.

Goodnight Nashville is Evening Entertainment Group’s first venture in Nashville. Of the opening, the company’s co-owner, Les Corieri, said:

“As we set out to create EEG’s first venue in Nashville, we knew there was no better person to partner with than a true hometown hero like Jelly Roll. Goodnight Nashville is more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s an experience where music, culture, and hospitality meet. Nashville has always been a vibrant city of energy and creativity, and we’re excited to be part of that spirit, bringing something new to the scene.”

Goodnight Nashville Is Now For Sale

After just 10 months in business, the Goodnight Nashville building is up for sale with a massive price tag: $100 million.

BB Broadway LLC owns the building, which already has a long-term lease with Evening Entertainment Group, and Goodnight Nashville and will continue under the new ownership.

According to Nashville Business Journal, whoever buys Goodnight Nashville has “a rare opportunity to acquire Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville, located in the heart of Nashville’s famous Lower Broadway district, aka Honky Tonk Highway.”

While $100 million sounds like a lot of money, it breaks down to $3,192 per square foot, which is actually lower than some of the nearby properties that have recently sold. For example, Jack’s Bar-B-Que was recently sold to Robert’s Western World for $4,200 per square foot, while Jon Bon Jovi’s bar sold for $3,500 per square foot.

The building is brand-new, having just been built is 2024, and is one of the most successful bars in the area, with bar goers saying its one of the only venues that always has a line out the door.

Goodnight Nashville is one of many celebrity bars that opened recently in Downtown Nashville. Other singers who have bars include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert and more!
