A Young Patriot

At a 4th of July parade in Arlington, a 10-year-old boy, identified only as Josh, noticed that one of the honor guard members shoes came untied. The little guy leapt into action, walking into the middle of the parade and bending down to quickly fix the issue. The honor guard smiled and looked on as the youngster helped out.

Onlookers smiled as the boy quietly tied the shoe, and then returned to his place on the side of the road to continue watching the parade. Many people were overjoyed to be a part of this selfless moment, watching a little boy go out of his way to help out someone honoring our nation.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson tweeted a thank you to the young helper, offering him a chief challenge coin.
