8 Of The Best Dressed Celebrities At The 2022 CMT Music Awards

The 2022 CMT Music Awards were held on Monday (April 11) in Nashville, Tennessee. Country music’s biggest stars turned out to celebrate at the fan-voted awards show, which honors music videos and performances.

Some of those who walked the red carpet celebrated the arrival of spring by wearing fun, bright colors. Others opted to don ensembles with standout details such as glitter or fringe.

Carly Pearce

Carly Pearce looked gorgeous in her glittery green dress from SemSem. The dress was strapless and had a slit up one side of the skirt.

Pearce complemented her outfit with matching shoes from Stuart Weitzman and a bold lip color.

Cody Johnson

Cody Johnson walked away from the CMT Music Awards with two trophies! He won the award for CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year and also won Male Video of the Year.

Johnson wore the same outfit on the red carpet, when he accepted his awards, and when he sang his #1 hit, “‘Til You Can’t.” He looked like a true cowboy in his jeans, blue jacket, and of course, a cowboy hat.

Jimmie Allen

We loved the bright purple jacket Jimmie Allen rocked at the CMT Music Awards this year. The jacket was also covered in fringe, making it even more fun!

Allen also wore a pair of deeper purple boots, some sunglasses, a hat, and lots of standout jewelry pieces.

Kelsea Ballerini

We have to give some major credit to Kelsea Ballerini, because she did all of her own glam for her many looks at the CMT Music Awards…and took red carpet photos in her driveway!

Ballerini unfortunately couldn’t attend the ceremony in person. She delivered her performance and conducted her co-hosting duties from home.

Despite being in a less-than-ideal situation, Ballerini made the most of her home setup. She looked amazing…and her dog Dibs even got the chance to appear in a picture!

Anthony Mackie

Ballerini’s co-host was actor Anthony Mackie. He looked dapper as could be in a dark blue suit with striped details.

Mackie complemented the look with a lighter blue dress shirt under his jacket. He also wore a pair of brown boots.

This was Mackie’s first time hosting the CMT Music Awards, so it was a big night for him!

Maren Morris

Maren Morris took the term “red carpet” to heart and showed up to the CMT Music Awards wearing a long red skirt. Her bandeau-style top was mirrored like a disco ball and sparkled in the light.

The ensemble was custom made for Morris by RASARIO.

Martina McBride

Martina McBride looked stunning as could be in the outfit she wore to the CMT Music Awards. She donned a metallic silver ensemble that featured a glittery skirt.

McBride did not perform during the ceremony, but she did present an award. She also had a funny part in the show’s opening monologue where she stepped up and volunteered to be Mackie’s new co-host since Ballerini couldn’t be there in person.

Thomas Rhett

Thomas Rhett was serving up springtime feelings with the light blue jacket he wore on the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards. The bright jacket stood out against his darker blue pants and white undershirt.

Rhett was accompanied by his beautiful wife, Lauren, who wore a flowery pink dress with shoes that matched her husband’s jacket.
