The CMA Reveals Date For 2025 Awards Ceremony
The countdown is on…as the CMA has unveiled the date for the 2025 CMA Awards. Get ready to mark your calendars and learn when to tune in!
While we’re still months away from “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” fans are already looking forward to the 59th annual CMA Awards. Not much is known about the ceremony, except for the date.
The CMA recently updated its website to display the date of the 2025 awards ceremony. The program will air live on ABC at 8/7c on Wednesday, November 19.

The CMA’s website update comes two months after ABC previously pinpointed November 19 as the ceremony’s air date. The ceremony aired earlier in November in the past, but also had a later date last year due to the general election.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said they decided to hold the ceremony later in 2025 as well. This way, they avoid any potential conflicts with the World Series.
“Also, ABC used to have another award show in that space where they no longer have it,” Trahern told Billboard. “So, getting through all of the end-of-the-season shows that tend to finale in November gave us a little bit of a window right before Thanksgiving. It was a good tune-in window, so we’re going to try it again.”
When Will The Nominees For The 2025 CMA Awards Be Announced?
While the CMA Awards aren’t until November, voting is already underway to narrow down the field of nominees. According to Barrett Media, CMA voters are currently casting their votes on the second ballot.
Those voting have until August 18 to finalize their ballots. This round of voting helps select the final nominees in the 12 award categories, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.
The nominees will then be officially revealed to the public on September 8. Those who want to be the first to see them can watch the announcement live on the CMA’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.
Fans are eager to see who will score the most nods at this year’s CMA Awards. Last year’s top nominees were Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone. Wallen was named the Entertainer of the Year.
Announcements concerning the hosts, performers, and presenters for the 2025 CMA Awards are expected in the weeks following the unveiling of the nominees.
